I snapped pictures and introduced myself. Relieved that I wasn't the only one who had never done a paint and sip class. Excited that I wasn't the only one who was nervous. Moments later an old fran walked through. Ok, maybe she isn't that old of a fran, but she is a fran nonetheless. Addie walked in and it turns out we were seated next to each other. Phew, I had dogged that one. You know the awkward havin' to make a new fran quickly. After a brief introduction of the services provided, the paintin was to begin. I absolutely adored the instructors and the vibe they inspired. They were patient, they were kind. They were helpful/ Really, the were loads of fun and didn't make me feel like a fool when my picture kept lookin' wonky. They went step by step. It didn't even matter your skill level. Everyone had fun and produced beautiful works of art.
It's great how we were all given the same instruction but each produced different works of art.
If' you've never been to a Painting with a Twist than I suggest you get your bottom to one ASAP. You'll not be disappointed. You can click that pretty link above to get all the deets on pricin' and classes offered.
I love these painting studios. I've been to two of them in my area. Even though I wouldn't consider myself very artsy, I've been very proud of everything that I have created. Great paintings!!

ReplyDeleteHi, this is Painting with a Twist in Denton. Thanks for writing about us, Alesha! We're so happy to hear all the great stories from people who have tried a Painting with a Twist.
ReplyDeleteTo anyone who was wondering: you don't have to have any art experience to paint with us. Most of our customers don't! You are also welcome to BYOB (including alcohol) and snacks to make it your own fun art party.
They host a BYOB painting class like this around here. I think I will give it a try. Looks like fun and your finished products look great.
