Basic with a southern twist

Why basic with a Southern twist? Cause with Ride or Die we are the most basic duo. When we found out the fair had fried pumpkin spice oreo's we just had to try them. Ride or Die's sister texted her and goes, "basic with a southern twist."

So much fried food in my belly. In Texas if it can be cooked we can fry it. Some of the fried foods we had:

  • Fried pumpkin spice oreo
  • fried snickers
  • fried sweet tea
  • fried biscuits and gravy
  • fried sriracha balls
If your state has already had it's fair, what was your favorite thing or food?

  1. You captured the fair perfectly. Wish I had been there. Our fair here in Kansas was in September. I didn't even go this year. Too many memories right now.

  6. I wanted to go to the Texas State Fair when I was in town this weekend, but I didn't have time and I was so exhausted. It looks like it was a blast though. I've never been to the one in Texas.

  7. Great pictures! My mind is slightly blown by fried sweet tea. Is it like a sweet tea flavor in a hushpuppy? I have had fried Koolaid and it was just the flavor in a dough form. Fried Snickers are so yummy!

    1. They turned into a dessert. Some how it was almost like a fillin' you would see in a cake and then they fried it.

  8. Love your pictures! I think I'd like to try sweet tea--that sounds really awesome! :) I love a good funnel cake at the fair, but anything fried is usually delicious!
