And this post ain't sponsored by nobody other than my own bank account and the many calories in my belly a few weeks back. Shame, shame, shame. But I'll take pie as a form of payment anyday. Pumpkin please. Speakin' of pie: I don't appreciate companies makin' Apple pie to look like Pumpkin pie. I came home to pie on the stove and was all excited only to have my feelin's hurt. And to that janky online quiz a few weeks back that told me I was only 94% true Texan cause I always pick Pumpkin pie or Pecan pie... #ByeFelicia.
Full to the the brim from our excursion at Lockharts, during #TexasBarbecue Week, a walk was in order. You can't visit the Bishop Arts District and not marvel at the beauty, architecture, culture and history of one of the oldest parts of Dallas. It just isn't possible. So a walk down Bishop Ave we did. The beautiful musical mural the apple of our eye. Our walkin' intensified as we neared. I'd like to say the beauty compelled us. But that's not the case. Our urgency to push down our food was the culprit. Our walkin' ceased and lead us here. Where's here? Emporium Pies.We saw the beautiful house, with it's many colors and bustlin' people. The sign read Emporium Pies. Well, that was it. Our food bellies died. Our eyes perked and our appetites returned.
So we entered. After all the beautiful mural lead us to Emporium Pies. The sign beckoned us. It was as if it called to us, yellin', "you know you want me!" Enterin' Emporium Pies was probably the smartest decision we made that week. The old fashioned house had been converted into a cozy little pie shop. We waited in line. Snapped all the pics. Enjoyed the decor and over all had a splendid time. Do people even say splendid anymore? But next time, I'mma need some pumpkin pie on that menu even though we did enjoyed The Bourbon Nut
What's you favorite type of pie?
Yum! My very favorite pie is Chocolate Cream Pie! So good. And..... off to the store I go. lol

ReplyDeleteGirl, yes. Where have you been. Next year I'll take you. Ok deal.
DeleteSuch a CUTE exterior to that place. I'm not huge on any kind of fruit pie but will gobble up sweet potato pie topped with cool whip. As well, a cream pie (chocolate, lemon, coconut, whatever - NO meringue) fits quite nicely in my belly. Though I'm not usually big on pecan pies, yours does look tasty!
ReplyDeleteEeek, that all sounds good. I love whip cream on my pie.
DeleteSeriously? All pies? It sounds both dangerous and intriguing. The decor and design are so cute!
ReplyDeleteYes. Come to Dallas and I'll buy you some pie.
DeleteThat house is so stinking cute!!!

DeleteOh, girl! Pecan all the way!
