"When you find your fit you give another woman a lift"
--- For every bar fitting, a bra will be donated to Dress for Success

"Name please." "Aleshea", I reply. "Oh, hey! I've seen your blog; welcome." I mutter a bashful thank you as I take my name tag and migrate towards the food. At one of the tables stands a woman gabbin' on about her prior week and the trip to LA she took with other Disney Bloggers and all the celebrities she met. I pull out my phone to find her blog and see her pics on twitter only to see she not only knew who I was but followed me. I quietly followed her while on they inside they "Hey girl Hey", as I affectionately titled her, emoji danced in my head. This all happened a few weeks back and was another one of those pench me before I cry moments. Yes, I say pench instead of pinch. I've been told on many an occasion I draw out my i's and e's. Is the Texas in me.

I was invited to #Lifttour kick off here in Dallas. Bein' in the same space as so many fabulous and successful Dallas bloggers was excitin' and inspirin'. The fact that the event was for a good cause was icin' on the cake. Well, for me, I'd say the lemon in my sweet tea.

#Lifttour is sponsored by Vanity Fair Lingerie . They are takin' a bra bus across America to educate, donate and fit women. For every woman that does a bra fittin' a bar is donated to Dress for Success. They will be makin' 70 stops in 12 major areas until Oct 21st. Y'all seriously need to go to Forwomenwhodo.com and get all the fancy info.

What excited me the most was Dress for Success. They are a non-profit that" promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and life." This is right up my ally y'all. I probably haven't mentioned it but the engineering firm I work for is women owned and classified as a small business. With it we have a non-profit outreach and the main thing we do is food and clothes. We always jokes about undergarments cause no one wants used undergarments. I also loved this cause as far back as I can remember my Momma only wore Vanity Fair bras cause they are the only brand that makes the style and fit she loves. It made me feel good to know a company she has supported all these years does somethin' so good.

So I ate, socialized, grammed, tweeted and over enjoyed myself for a good cause.

    1. HAHAHA YES ma'am! I can't help it. My drawl is not noticeable except on certain words and phrases. Other than that I sound like a typical American. But you get them I's and e's goin' and my penchant for y'all and you can't mistake where I am from.
