Salmon Salad

All the sweet tea if you know the lyrics of today's song: "Baby your a song, you make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise"

I have seriously got to do better on the 12 Days of Recipes. Bless my heart again today cause this is not the Hen recipe like I promised. (If you try and take away my sweet tea we may have to fight) And apparently I missed the memo where tomorrow is a day of silence on Blogger for the victims of Fridays shooting. Guess tomorrows post will be on Wednesday.

My family is very Southern in the dishes we eat, so y’all know salads be rare in our diet unless it’s a holiday.A few months back my Grandma Jhonnie’s fridge went out and she gave us a ton of food. I had some salmon in the freezer and this was the end result.

Ingredients
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 4 Boiled eggs
  • A head of lettuce
  • 1 Cup of cheese
  • 4 Salmon Fillets
  • 4 Tablespoons of butter
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Basil
  • Sage
  • Lemon Juice
Directions
  1. Cover the bottom of a skillet with olive oil and butter. Heat on high.
  2. Season the Salmon with the salt, pepper, paprika, basil, sage and lemon juice.
  3. Cook the Salmon in the skillet a few minutes on each side.
  4. Chop the tomatoes and eggs into rings.
  5. Wash and place the lettuce on a plate.
  6. Add the tomatoes and eggs.
  7. Place the Salmon on top, sprinkle on cheese.
  8. Finally take some of the juice left in the pan from the salmon and drizzle it on the salad.
Enjoy y’all!

As always,
from my kitchen to yours...
