"Never Apologize- If I Wrote a Note to God"

Day 13, Monday: Issue a public apology. This can be as funny or as serious or as creative as you want it to be.

I don't normally issues apologies. I have a motto that says, " Never apologize, never explain." John Wayne uttered those now famous words. To apologize is the same as making an excuse for ones actions. Instead I choose to ask for forgiveness.  When I came upon this prompt I struggled with it. Heck, I've struggled with most of the prompts. Many of the prompts have forced me to be real with myself, dig down and really think.

Today I ask God to forgive me.
For my selfish pride
For not reading my Bible like I should
For not seeking his Glory like I should
For not treating my body like the temple it is
For not letting my light shine more
For trying to do things on my own terms
For not trusting his plan more
For paying more attention to the people at church than I am at the sermon
For laughing at inappropriate moments
To forgive me, because at times I haven't been the best me he created.

Day 13 of 21: Is asking for forgiveness from God.

  5. This put a smile on my face. Clever and thoughtful, it's amazing what we can come up with when we dig deep.

  6. I need to ask forgiveness for those things daily. But I think the fact that we recognise that we fall short is a start. Most people don't ever think they do anything wrong.

    Great post :)

  7. Psalms 51 is my favorite psalms.

I often have to remind myself to be more thankful also.
