This past Sunday I got together with some of the Shouldabeen Sisters for dinner at Ozona. It's quite funny cause it was supposed to be an outin' where the momma's took their momma's. Well, my grandma lives up north so I offered to go with my momma so she wasn't alone. I kept makin' jokes that I only showed face so I could get a blog post out of it. Ozona was on my list of resturants to try. They're known for havin' one of the best patios in Dallas. Speakin' of Patios: how beautiful is that patio?

I had wanted to sit on the patio but many of the ladies were older and did think they could handle the patio so we opted to eat inside. The inside was just as nice. I couldn't decide what to get on the menu until it was noted that the chicken fried stake had been named one of the top ten best chicken fried steak in Dallas. I knew right then that this is what I'd be tryin'. Holy moly that chicken fried steak was not only good but was fillin'. Y'all it literally took me three meals to finish the dern thing. I don't know how they breaded that chicken fried steak but I need it in my life forever and ever.

They also supplied us with endless amounts of chips and salsa that would have made you run south of the border. That's how good they were. The salsa came in little warm bowls. That was new for me but now I wish everyone put salsa in warm bowls.

This restaurant was a great little find that I plan to visit many times over. Especially at brunch since they claim to have one of the best brunch menus Dallas has to offer.

Where have y'all eaten at lately that you just loved?
