Festivities long gone, appetizers eaten, cocktails drank, friendships made, loveliest of time spent.

Y'all may have seen my post last week where I talked about #sgbcTX . I'm a member of a Southern Bloggin' group on FB. Texas, North Carolina and Mississippi ladies from the group decided to have meetups. I was in charge of the TX meet-up along with Ms. Addie. The event was held at one of my favorite Dallas restaurants The Rustic. I've mentioned before that The Rustic is owned by Pat Green and a few members of Free Range Concepts.

Now that I have my first meet-up under my belt, I'm excited to do more and meet more Texas/Dallas bloggers. Quite a few ladies signed up but as you can see only a few showed up and I ain't even mad about it. I really got to know the ladies and the blogs they blog at. Plus y'all know I can talk so, hey girl hey. Wait, that ain't even make no kind of sense. I can't wait to stay in contact with these ladies. We are plannin' on gettin' another larger meet-up/ event together for the end of summer/ beginnin' of fall. Of course it'll be before the start of football season. Who y'all think we are...

I've already mentioned Addie a few times. I like to think of her as a ArkananTex blogger. She was born in Texas but grew up in Arkansas and now lives in Texas. Lauren blogs at Will Sing for Makeup. She's on the far left in the picture. Y'all she is originally from Mississippi and has the cutest accent. And can we talk about how she's an Opera Singer. #Yesplease. Brenda has two blogs Dailymayo & Schooling a Monkey. She's a freelance writer. Can I get another #YesPlease.

We spent hours gabbin' about everythin' under the sun. It's nice to feel like you have two new frans. How was your weekend? What y'all do? I also spent much time poolside yesterday. I've been toooo excited cause I was only out for a few hours and already started to get tan lines. Y'all know what that means: Summer in Texas is on it's way.

And a big thanks to Addie for all the pictures above
