#SouthernEats, #SouthernEats, let's all do the #SouthernEats. Wait? How does one do the #SouthernEats? What does that even mean? Oh, you know... Eat at places in The South and pretend they are more southern they really are.

But seriously, that's what I love about The South and Texas so much. I love how diverse we really are- especially the cuisine.

This past weekend, before I got sick- sidenote: thanks for all the love and well wishes on FB cause I'm feelin' much better. But no more bloggin' out loud. Back to food. Mmmm, I love me some food. Anyways, this past weekend I stalked visited my favorite Asian spot in all of Dallas: Mint Asian Fusion Cafe and Dessert Bar with Bestfran Numero Uno. I was introduced to this little jewel about a year ago by Ride or Die. Voted one of the top 100 resturants in Dallas by D Magazine, nestled between 75 & Forrest Lane and, for all my Dallas lovers, this baby is the cutest ever.  Don't let the outside fool ya. Mint may be a fusion restaurant but it's specialty is Thai food.

Thai food isn't for everyone but it sure is for me. What I love the most, besides the food is the beautiful atmosphere and decor. Y'all I swear the owner had bloggers in mind with all the white and mint colors that make photographing food a dream. Even the chopsticks are mint colored. The waitresses are always the friendlies and nicest and make for the loveliest of experiences.

For those not feelin' Thai food there are plenty of other choices to choose from. Next time I'll have to try the Sushi so I can't sit at the Sushi Bar. I wish I would have taken a presentable picture of the bar and all the neon lights that accompany. I say that now and watch I visit and try one of the stir frys. Heck, the prices are so right that I could try many things in one setin'

Next time you are in Dallas and lookin' for a neat little Asian Cafe, I say put your money or appetite on Mint. Tell 'em I sent ya. Just say, "You know the girl with the big camera snappin' all the pics while the waiter patiently waited to put more food on the table."

Mint this one's for you.
