Late Sunday afternoon I went on a treasure hunt for bottle caps down at The Point since the lake is pretty dried up. I've mentioned before that my town is off the lake, I'm sittin' in the lake in the top pic, and a friend's house backs to the lake. The Point is where we sometimes hang out. Well, were I sometimes hang out. All the guys spend just about every Saturday night out there. They even built things such as: fire pit, table, chairs, benches, toilet, horse for roopin', corn hole etc. When you grow up outside the city, it doesn't matter how big your town gets, you still have that small town mentality and know how to make your own fun. These are just some of the pictures that ensued. This is my Wordless Wednesday post plus nine sentences.

Your pictures are so pretty. You have a great eye!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos. Do you plan to do anything with the bottle caps? I have seen some amazing art work with them.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! I wish I lived somewhere like that. I lived in northern michigan for the first 11 years of my life, and moved to phoenix after. so im pretty much a "city girl" now. i still would love to live somewhere like this, though!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love the city, I love living right outside it even more. We're not to far out were we can't enjoy the things when needed. And we get amazing views like this
DeleteYou do such cool things! :)
